As the level of economic activity in the town of Inuvik continues to increase, so does the demand for quality real estate space for businesses and residents. To support this growing sector, Inuvik Commercial Properties Zheh Gwizu’ (ICPZG) was formed to engage Gwich’in beneficiaries in the professional management of commercial and retail space for government departments, aboriginal organizations and the private sector.
By combining local knowledge and assets of the GDC and Nihtat Corporation, with the extensive property management experience and resources of Northern Property Real Estate Investment Trust, this successful partnership has become the single largest landowner in the Western Arctic Region since it began operating in April 2005.
The ICPZG head office in Inuvik manages nine prime location properties in Inuvik:
- Jim Koe Building
- Franklin Manor
- Semmler Building
- Rec Hall
- Alex Moses Greenland
- Mack Travel Building
- The Blackstone
- Professional Building
- ENR Building
And one centrally located property in Yellowknife:
