As oil and gas exploration and development continues to grow in the Gwich’in Settlement Area, so will the influx of construction and support personnel. To assist in the short-term housing of these workers, the MG Lodging camp was built just outside Inuvik.
MG Lodging offers private room accommodations for up to 60 people at a time, house-keeping services and three home cooked meals a day. Since opening in 2001, this year-round camp has provided companies and their employees a cost efficient alternative to hotels and restaurants.
Equipped with electricity and sewage treatment facilities, this stationary facility employs five-full time staff and combines local knowledge with the expertise of managing a first-class camp that provides the comforts of home.
